Day 10: “One Day at a Time”

Wanting to finish second grading period before the year ends (we started September) is my goal. Most homeschoolers would say, stick to your schedule. Mark your calendar with a pen, instead of a pencil. So that everything will be permanent. I was doing just that.

Wait a minute, I have to remind myself that we own our school schedule. We don’t have to complete everything in 9 months. We can continue learning all year round! So what is the rush for.

We continue to take out our Wednesday school schedule so that kids can continue with their own passion project or simply play.

Our Saturdays are starting to be more like a field trip than a school day. I think I’m liking it this way, and kids like it, too.

Learning is not supposed to be rushed. It is a journey that is meant to be enjoyed, nourishing both our soul and mind.
